Adventisticko Teolosko Visoko Uciliste, also known as Adriatic Union College, is a happy and caring community where pursuit of academic excellence is seen as important, but where social and spiritual needs are cared for as well. History
In 1931, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in former Yugoslavia, recognizing the need for an educational center, established Union Training School in Belgrade. The institution was transferred to Zagreb (Croatia) and operated there 1932 to 1942, when it was closed because of World War II. In 1955, the school was established at Rakovica near Belgrade. As urban development increased in Rakovica area in 1974, the school moved to Maru§evec in Croatia. Here the school adopted the name Adventist Seminary which consists of a secondary school and the Adventist College of Theology. The secondary school was established in Marusevec in the autumn of 1970, and has operated ever since.
Location
The Adventist Seminary is located in the northwest of Croatia, about 15 kilometers from the city of Varaidin and about 80 kilometers Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The quietness and beauty of the peaceful surroundings are in keeping with the seminary’s educational philosophy.
Accreditation
Adventisticko Teolosko Visoko Uciliste / Adriatic Union College is accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association. Adriatic Union College holds accreditation with the Adventist Accrediting Association since 1978.  Degrees from Adventisticko Teolosko Visoko Uciliste / Adriatic Union College are validated by the Evangelical Theological Faculty, Osijek.
