The Adventist University of Health Sciences is located on a peninsula between Lake Estelle and Lake Winyah behind Florida Hospital Medical Center just north of downtown Orlando.
History
The Adventist University of Health Sciences  began as the Florida Hospital School of Nursing operating on this site in 1913. Programs in Radiography and Sonography were established in 1962 and 1988, respectively. In 1992 Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences was begun with the merging of four programs – the Associate degree in Nursing, Practical Nursing, Radiography and Sonography – to form a new school. The College became a baccalaureate level institution in 1998 offering the Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Program.
