Lowry Adventist College offers of four major programs, Degree College Pre-university Composite College,  Teacher Training Institute and Post Graduate Study Center.

They are recognized by the Department of Education, Southern Asia Division of Seventh-day Adventist, the Department of Public Instruction, Department of Education, Government of Karnataka and Bangalore University.
History
Funded on 1915 by Elder G.G. Lowry later known as South India Training School at Krishnarajapuram, later known as Spicer Memorial situated in Pune. In 1942, the campus was taken by the Government for military purpose and the school was relocated at Kollegal where it remained until 1945 and relocated to Channapatna. In 1946, the School property was relinquished by the Government and named after Dr G.G. Lowry to honour the memory of this noted educationist and social worker of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Southern Asia Division. In the years that followed it grew into a Teachers’ Training Institute in 1972, a Junior College in the year 1977 and in 1998 to a Degree College of Undergraduate Studies affiliated to the University of Bangalore. In 2006 started the College of Nursing which is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore, Karnataka State, India.
Criteria for Admissions
- A passed two year PUC examination of the Karnataka Pre-University Board (Grade XII) or any other examination recognized as equivalent.
- The Medical Fitness Certificate from a qualified Physician.
- All admissions are provisional and are subjected to the approval of the Bangalore University.
